This program comprises three major works from all three periods of Beethoven's creative lifespan, culminating with one of the greatest challenges in the piano literature, opus 111.

Alberto Ferro is a young Sicilian pianist. He stole the show at last year's Telekom International Beethoven Competition in Bonn, last year, winning both first prize and the audience prize. 

At age 22 he already has a well-established career, playing in Europe, notably his home country, Italy but also in Belgium and Germany. He has performed in such prestigious venues as Teatro La Fenice in Venice and Sala Verdi in Milan, Künstlerhaus in Munich, Schloss Belvedere in Weimar, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Meistersingerhalle in Nuremberg and Beethoven Haus in Bonn among many others. 

Alberto has appeared at the Copenhagen Summer Festival, Noto Musica Festival, Bologna Festival, Operaestate Festival Veneto, Kawai a Ledro, Amici della Musica di Firenze, Società dei Concerti di Milano, Settimane Musicali di Ascona, Tyrolean Festival Erl, Kissinger Sommer, Beethovenfest Bonn, Piano aux Jacobins, Festival Musiq’3, Festival de l’Eté Mosan, Gent Festival van Vlaanderen, Brussels Piano Festival and many others.

Alberto was awarded the Italian Chamber of Deputies Medal, personally presented by the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hon. Laura Boldrini, on the occasion of the European Music Day. He has recorded his first CD on the Italian label, Suonare.

Tickets: No tickets will be issued for concerts. Admission to the music room on the day of the concert will be in accordance with the sequence of receipt of payment (ie, who pays first goes in first and can select their desired seat).

Etiquette: No photos allowed during the main performance. But photos may be taken during encore. Please do not upload videos to Youtube.

Children: Children aged six years and older may attend the concert except where otherwise advised. Smaller children may be left with the nanny on the premises. 


Cancellations and credits: Credit will be allowed for future concerts in the event of cancellation provided that the concert for which the original booking was made breaks even.
